1. Agreement & Operator

2. Eligibility & Account

  • You must be 14 years or older to create an account.
  • You sign in with your Apple account, Google account, or a one-time code sent to your email (available options may vary by device and region). MINTAGE does not use or store passwords.
  • Keep your account information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you must not use another person's account or information.

3. The Service

  • MINTAGE lets you turn your photos into limited-edition digital collectible cards, share them through drops and gifts, trade them card for card (including through Offers), collect them in your binder and albums, and discover cards and albums others share and follow other users.
  • MINTAGE is a collectibles service — it is not a game, a social network, or an NFT/blockchain platform. Cards have no monetary or investment value and are not securities.
  • We may add or change features to improve the Service. Changes that materially affect you will be notified in advance under §14.

4. Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the photos and text you add — card titles and text, your profile, album names, Offer notes, and so on ("Content").
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, adapt, and display your Content solely to operate the Service (for example, to show your cards and share-link previews). We do not use your Content for advertising or other purposes without your consent.
  • You represent that you own or have the rights to your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, publicity, or privacy rights or violate the law. Get permission from people who appear in your photos.
  • Cards you share or trade appear in the recipient's binder and may be visible through share links. Profiles and albums you make public, and cards you choose to show on Discover, are visible to other users and in Discover.
  • Copyright complaints (DMCA): If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@mintage.cards including the elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) (identification of the work and the infringing material with its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury). We remove or disable access to infringing content and notify the user who posted it. That user may send a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(g) if they believe the removal was a mistake; we will then restore the content in 10–14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a lawsuit. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

5. Cards & Editions

  • When you create a card, you choose its edition size: an edition of 2 to 100 numbered copies, or a single 1 of 1. Editions larger than 100 copies are available only by arrangement (contact support@mintage.cards).
  • Each copy has its own number. The edition size is permanently fixed — editions can never be re-issued, expanded, or altered.
  • A card is created immediately and cannot be undone.

6. Ownership & History

  • Ownership is tracked per copy. Drops, gifts, trades, and Offers transfer ownership of individual copies. Completed transfers cannot be reversed.
  • A card's creation and transfer history is permanent and cannot be edited.
  • If you delete your account, cards already held by other users and their history remain, and you appear as "deleted user" as the creator or a previous owner.

7. Drops, Gifts, Trades & Offers

  • Card for card. Trades and Offers are card for card only. You may not exchange money, credits, or anything else for cards, or trade outside the Service.
  • Drops. Share cards with many people through a link or code, first come first served or for a limited time. Each person can claim one card per drop.
  • Gifts. Send a card to one person by handle or by link. Unclaimed gift links expire after 7 days, and the card stays with the sender.
  • Trades. Both people choose the cards they will give, and the swap happens as soon as both accept. Either side can decline or cancel before the trade completes.
  • Offers. You may list a copy you own to receive offers for 1, 3, or 7 days. Other users may each bid one card, and may change or withdraw their bid until bidding ends; after bidding ends, bids cannot be withdrawn. Within 48 hours after bidding ends (you may end bidding early), you may choose one bid, and the two copies are swapped immediately. If you choose none, the listing expires and no cards move. While listed, your copy cannot be traded, gifted, or listed elsewhere. A listing can be cancelled only while it has no bids. Bids are visible to other users, and you may have up to 5 open listings at a time.

8. Credits

  • Creating a card uses Create Credits: 1 credit per copy for the standard card shape (for example, a 10-copy edition uses 10 credits) and 3 credits per copy for premium card shapes. A 1 of 1 uses 2 extra credits (a standard 1 of 1 uses 3 credits). The amount is shown before you create. Until paid purchases launch in the app, creating cards does not use credits.
  • Monthly credits: every account receives 15 free credits each month; with a MINTAGE subscription ("MINTAGE Plus") you receive 150 credits each month instead. Monthly credits refresh on the 1st of each month (00:00 UTC) and do not carry over.
  • Kept credits: credits you purchase and bonus credits (for example, for signing up) stay in your account until used and do not expire. Monthly credits are used before kept credits.
  • Credits are a limited license to use a Service feature, not stored value, e-money, a prepaid payment instrument, a gift certificate, or a security, and they have no cash value. Credits cannot be transferred to other users or exchanged for cash outside the Service.
  • Gifting credits. When you buy a credit bundle in the app, you may choose another user (by handle) to receive it. The credits go straight to that user as their kept credits and can't be moved again. If the recipient's account is unavailable (for example, deleted, suspended, or one of you has blocked the other), the credits go to you instead. Gifted credits are delivered immediately and count as used once delivered, so a gift purchase can't be cancelled or refunded after delivery (to the extent the law allows; this is shown before you buy). If the app store refunds a gift purchase anyway, the gifted credits are deducted from the buyer's balance, which may go below zero; the recipient keeps them.
  • MINTAGE does not sell paid random or chance-based products, and paid credits cannot be spent on chance-based mechanics. If such a product is ever introduced, the odds will be disclosed before purchase as required by law and app-store rules.

9. Paid Services & Subscriptions

  • Payment. Credit bundles and the subscription (monthly or yearly) are purchased in the app through App Store (Apple) or Google Play in-app purchase. The app store charges your account and handles billing; prices and what you get are shown before you buy.
  • Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel, and the app store charges your account at each renewal.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep your subscription benefits until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel an app-store subscription.
  • Price changes. If we increase the subscription price, we will tell you 30 days before the new price takes effect and ask for your consent where required by law or app-store rules. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the next renewal.
  • Free trials. If we offer a free trial, its length and terms are shown before it starts. Cancel before the deadline set by your app store (for the App Store, at least 24 hours before the trial ends) to avoid being charged.
  • Refunds. Refunds, cancellations, statutory withdrawal rights, and the cancellation of purchases made by minors are governed by the Payment & Refund Policy.

10. Content Rules & Reporting

  • You may not post: content that infringes anyone's copyright, publicity, or privacy rights; sexually explicit content, or content that promotes violence or hate; content that promotes illegal activity; content harmful to minors; content that exposes other people's contact details, addresses, or other personal information; or any other unlawful content.
  • We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
  • You can report cards and accounts with the in-app report feature or at support@mintage.cards. We review reports promptly and, where appropriate, hide or remove the content and restrict the account under §12, and we tell the user who posted it what we did and why.
  • You can block any account. Once blocked, that account can't follow you, trade, gift, or bid with you, and its cards, drops, and albums are hidden from you.
  • Content you report is hidden for you right away, and content reported by several people may be hidden for everyone until we review it.
  • If you believe your Content was removed by mistake, you can appeal at support@mintage.cards. If the appeal is valid, we restore the Content.
  • Removed cards. When we remove a card, its image and text are hidden for everyone and it shows as "Removed card". Copies stay in their owners' binders with their history; trades are not reversed. While a card is removed it can't be traded, gifted, listed, bid, or dropped, and any pending trades, gift links, listings, bids, and drops that include it are cancelled. Once a removal becomes final, people who currently hold the card because they got it in a trade or an Offer receive credits equal to the cost of making one copy of the card they gave in that trade (at the credit prices in effect then). People who got it from a drop or a gift, the card's maker, and trades made after the card was first reported are not compensated.

11. Prohibited Conduct

  • post Content you do not have rights to, or content prohibited under §10;
  • impersonate anyone, or use another person's account or information;
  • create multiple accounts, or use automation or bugs, to obtain credits, drops, or other benefits unfairly;
  • bypass security, rate limits, or access controls, or interfere with the Service;
  • sell or buy cards, accounts, or credits for money outside the Service, or use the Service for money laundering or fraud;
  • harass or threaten other users.

12. Enforcement

  • If you violate these Terms, we may, depending on how serious the violation is, warn you, limit some features, suspend your account, or terminate it. For serious violations, or when urgently needed to protect other users, we may act immediately.
  • Credits obtained unfairly may be removed after notice.
  • We tell you what action we took and why, and you can appeal at support@mintage.cards.

13. Intellectual Property

14. Changes & Account Deletion

  • We may change these Terms. We post the updated Terms, with their effective date and the reason for the change, at least 7 days before they take effect. For changes that are material or less favorable to you, we will make reasonable efforts to post them at least 30 days in advance and to notify you individually (for example, by email or in the app).
  • If you do not agree with the changes, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms.
  • Previous versions of these Terms remain available on our website.
  • We may modify or discontinue the Service; material changes will be notified in advance.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deletion anonymizes your account (personal information removed) and forfeits any remaining credits; cards you created and transaction history remain for edition integrity and appear as "deleted user."

15. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • We are responsible under applicable law for damage caused by our fault.
  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses not caused by our fault — for example, natural disasters, outages of app stores, carriers, or other third parties, or your own actions — or for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Service (or USD 100 if you have made no payments).
  • This limit does not apply to liability for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including data-protection laws).
