1. Scope & How You Pay
This policy covers MINTAGE's paid products — credit bundles and the MINTAGE subscription (monthly or yearly) — and describes the statutory rights that apply regardless of our terms.
Paid products are sold only in the MINTAGE app through App Store (Apple) or Google Play in-app purchase. The app store charges your account, handles billing and applicable taxes, and handles refund requests for its purchases under its own policies. Until paid purchases launch in the app, creating cards is free.
2. What Credits Are
Create Credits are a limited license to use a Service feature (creating cards). They are not stored value, e-money, a prepaid payment instrument, a gift certificate, or a security, and they have no cash value. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred for cash outside the Service. Prices, credit amounts, and any bundle terms are shown at the point of sale.
- Monthly credits — 15 free credits each month, or 150 each month with a subscription. They refresh on the 1st of each month (00:00 UTC) and do not carry over.
- Kept credits — credits you purchase and bonus credits. They stay in your account until used and do not expire.
- Gifted credits — a bundle bought as a gift goes to the recipient's kept credits immediately and counts as used once delivered, so it can't be cancelled or refunded after delivery (to the extent the law allows). If the app store refunds it anyway, the credits are deducted from the buyer's balance (which may go below zero); the recipient keeps them.
- Refunds after use — if the app store refunds a purchase whose credits you have already used, we deduct the purchased amount from your balance, which may go below zero. Only unused purchased credits are refundable (§4).
3. Statutory Cancellation Rights (by region)
Your local law may grant cancellation rights that override our general terms. For app-store purchases, you exercise these rights by requesting a refund from the app store (see §11). In particular:
- EU / EEA & UK — 14-day right of withdrawal. Unused credits can be withdrawn within 14 days; credits you have used after agreeing to immediate delivery cannot.
- Republic of Korea — 7-day cooling-off. See the Korean version for the statutory withdrawal period, the digital-content limitation, and the required refund timeline.
- United States — no federal cooling-off for online sales. Refund requests for app-store purchases are decided by the app store under its refund policy. Additional rights may apply under your state's consumer-protection law.
4. Used vs. Unused Credits
- Unused purchased credits — may be refunded within the applicable cancellation window above (for app-store purchases, through the app store).
- Used credits — a credit is "used" when it is consumed (e.g., to create a card, which permanently creates a fixed edition). Used credits are non-refundable, but only where this limitation was clearly disclosed and you consented before use, as the law requires. Because card creation is immediate and irreversible (editions can never be re-issued), we disclose this before you spend a credit.
5. Subscriptions — Cancellation & Refunds
- You can cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep your subscription benefits (such as 150 monthly credits) until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds for the current period, including when you cancel mid-period, are handled under applicable law and the app store's refund policy. To ask for one, contact the app store or email support@mintage.cards and we will help.
- We do not make cancelling difficult.
6. Refund Processing
Refunds for app-store purchases are processed by the app store. When we receive a cancellation or refund request, we explain the app store's process and help it go through. Where the law requires us to refund you directly, we do so within the period the law sets.
7. Order of Consumption
When you make a card, monthly credits are used before kept credits. This keeps your purchased credits available for as long as possible.
8. Minors
The Service is for users 14 or older. If a minor made a purchase without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, request a refund from the app store or contact us and we will help — such purchases may be cancelled and refunded as required by applicable law (see the Korean version for Korea's statutory minor-cancellation right).
9. Account Deletion & Credits
Deleting your account forfeits any remaining credits, which cannot be reinstated. If you are entitled to a refund for unused purchased credits, request it before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not cancel an app-store subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
10. Random or Chance-Based Products
MINTAGE does not currently sell paid random or chance-based products, and paid credits cannot be spent on chance-based mechanics. If any such product is ever introduced, the odds will be disclosed before purchase in line with applicable law and app-store rules, and additional protections for minors will apply.
11. How to Request a Refund
- App Store purchases: request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your Apple account's purchase history.
- Google Play purchases: request a refund from Google in your Google Play order history (play.google.com or the Payments & subscriptions menu in the Google Play app).
- The app store reviews the request and returns approved refunds to your original payment method. If you need help, email support@mintage.cards with your account and purchase details.
12. No Blanket "No Refunds"
We do not, and legally cannot, state that all sales are final. Statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights always apply.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We post changes at least 7 days before they take effect, and for changes less favorable to you we will make reasonable efforts to post them 30 days in advance with individual notice. Previous versions remain available on our website, and the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
14. Language
This policy is provided in Korean and English. The Korean version applies to users residing in the Republic of Korea, and the English version applies to all other users. If a translation into any other language differs from the English version, the English version prevails.
